So often in our quest to strive for excellence and to be our very best, we get (or at least I get) wrapped up in our single-minded focus. And sometimes, that leads to serious burn out!
So, today, I’m calling a time out. For those of us on the path to living the life of our dreams, it’s ok to take a breather. Catch your breath. Refill your internal fountain of energy, zest, and passion. Rejoice in the beauty of this moment.
Revive your spirit. Rejuvinate your senses. Recreate or re-create. Have fun. Hug your spouse. Walk your dog. Pet your cat. Thumb wrestle with a 5 year old. Love on your grand baby. Close your eyes and just breathe.
Breathe in the energy of the day. Exhale that problem you can’t solve or the workload you’re carrying. Inhale grace, beauty, solitude. Exhale your to do list.
Clear your mind. Clean your heart. Prepare for new ideas, new possibilities, a different solution, a fresh way to approach your most important priority.

Sometimes I have to remind myself, when I’m just feeling blah, that it’s okay to simply “be.” I don’t have to tackle a mountain of to-do’s, save the world, or leap tall buildings in a single bound. Just “be” and as you said, breathe.
Megan – the time to recharge is so important! I love doing nothing after I’ve been running around at Mach 6…if there’s anything I’ve learned…from nothing comes something…so taking time to breathe, to be still, to be quiet is as important as oxygen!
