Two for Twosday

Holy Cow Batfans…you get not one but TWO super fabulous blog posts from two of my favorite writers this morning…

First up is:

wishingDani at Postively Present

“Do you wish? I do. I wish on stars. I wish on eyelashes. I wish when the clasp of a necklace collides with the charm hanging from the chain. I wish when the numerals on the clock read 11:11. I wish when I pluck a dandelion from the grass and blow its seeds into the wind. I wish when I blow out birthday candles each year. I wish when I say “I wish…” or “I hope…” or “I want…” Without knowing it, without even saying the word “wish,” I am wishing. A lot. What am I wishing for? I’m wishing for things I want. I’m wishing for things I don’t want. I’m wishing for things for other people. I’m wishing for small things (“Please don’t rain today!”) and I’m wishing for big things (“Please let there be peace in the world.”). I’m wishing, wishing, wishing… but is anything happening? Does anything happen when YOU wish?”

Dani hooked me with her first question!  Of course I wish…I wish all the time…some of it’s fanciful thinking, but some of it is life altering.  I’m turing 5 key wishes or passions into reality.  And not just by thinking about them.  I have to do the do.  Read more of Dani’s article “The Purpose of Wishing” and join the conversation on her blog!

biobeliefThe second great post I read is from Jodi at Joy Discovered.  Not only is her article like a V8 for the mind, but the references to Bruce Lipton and his book, The Biology of Belief: Unleashing the Power of Consciousness, Matter, & Miracles sent me straight to his website and then off to Amazon where I bought his book and another one by Dr. Wayne Dyer

…The next part [of his talk] focused on illustrating how traditional medical dogma—that we are victims of genetic determinism—is not true. Actually, he shared with great excitement, our health and well-being are determined by our environment and our perceptions. Lipton illustrated this declaration with logical, step by step delineations. His conclusion was this: If perception controls biology, then you are a master, because you can change your perceptions. You are not a victim.”

“If perception controls biology, then you are a master, because you can change your perceptions.  You are NOT a victim.”

Double WOW!  If that just doesn’t give you goose bumps, I don’t know what will.  As the line in Invictus goes, “I am the master of my fate, the captain of my destiny!”  Read the rest of Jodi’s article “An Elephant, A Rope, and Programmed Beliefs,” you’ll be glad you did!

What Two for Twosday have you discovered?
