Your Moment of Bliss

Why I LOVE New Hampshire

Driving home from the grocery store, this is what I see…

Thankfully, I had my camera with me…

So you can see what I see..

  1. Hi Peggy,
What a gorgeous fall view! And as I see the leaves changing here in these pictures, and when I look outside here in Wisconsin too – I’m reminded of how our we all go through seasons…life, and the changing of ourselves…and how this is good for us, especially when that is change for something that speaks from our heart.

Enjoy the autumn season and all the beauty it brings…

    • Hi Lance – I can’t tell you how glad I am to see you here! I have been so meaning to connect with you, and of course, when I was on your blog the other day, your comments were closed…but that’s OK! I need to make your blog a habit after work!

I am so happy you liked the pictures! Believe it or not, most of them were taking in the high school parking lot!

  2. Hi Peggy,

That is one of the many great things about living on the East Coast, the change of colors on the leaves. It is so beautiful and peaceful. Also a great reminder of how life goes in cycles!

Hope all is awesome and that you are having fun! I am sure that you are. :)

    • Hi Nadia,

I love fall in New England and I’m learning a whole new perspective on winter…

All is awesome today and I know that things are working out exactly as they should. The Universe doesn’t need me nudging all time!

  3. Gorgeous! Our color is beginning here in the Midwest. I was lucky to be up north in Wisconsin last week to see the color up there too! This is like nature’s last painting before the white canvas of winter. Glad Mother Nature really goes for it!

    • Hi Chris!

I used to have my dad send me leaves when I was living in places that didn’t have a fall season. He’d put them between wax paper and iron the paper together. If you’re mom won’t do that for you, let me know and I’ll gather up some leaves for you!

      Thanks for stopping by today!

  4. Okay, so I’m going to be the one to cry out, “WHAT? Leaves change color?”.

Oh! She must live in TEXAS!
Yep, sadly no leaves change color. One day they are there, then they are on the ground, and some never change. They just stay green. :-(

I will say I’ve always heard about this. I would love, love, love to visit the Northeast and see the changing of the leaves. I am sure your pictures don’t do it justice, but beautiful all the same. Thank you for letting me have a glimmer of Fall today!

  5. I’m in Ontario and our colors are coming out beautifully this year too. I’m not sure if it’s because of our wet summer and fall or how our fall has cooled so suddenly. Whatever the reason – I’m sure thankful for it. Beautiful!!

  6. Hi Peggy,
Going back to MI this weekend. Plan on picking some leaves and bringing back a basketful to AZ! I do miss them. I hear in Flagstaff there are trees and color but I’m not sure if it’s only Aspens or what.
Thanks for sharing your photos with us!

  7. Hi Carolyn! I think it’s both – both the amount of rain (we got a boat load of it in June and July) and the sudden cold. The reds this year are RED!

Hi Wilma! I’m like you – can’t paint worth a darn, but the colors of fall make me want to suddenly become Picasso!

Hi Tess! Have a fabulous trip to MI! And if you need extra leaves, just let me know…I’ll grab some for you!

  8. Those are BEAUTIFUL! Tim wants to take me there (New England area) for fall foliage…he says there’s nothing else like it….

I am soooo envious!! Leaves here SOMETIMES turn…but usually just go brown and then fall off…

And, in response to your comment about procreating/scrapbooking…I am SO there to help…assist…whatever. I haven’t even starteda wedding book yet…and that would be lots of fun…and an excuse to buy all those nifty papers and stickers and decorations…

I know, I’m already getting ahead of myself…

  9. Peggy, I got here through your post today on Lance’s blog. I saw these photos and the words New Hampshire and got sucked right in! I spent all my summers growing up with my grandparents on Lake Winnepesaukee. It is far from where we lived raising our kids in Chicago but we drove out there every 3rd summer and so NH is in our blood!

What is so amazing is that my husband and I found a log home on the 3rd most beautiful lake in the world, according to National Geographic, in northern Michigan (closer to our family in Chicago!) and we are flooded with color and cobalt blue skies as are you. This is surely a magical time of the year when color transforms our world before our eyes. I just love it! To look across the turquoise waters of the lake into the hills filled with greens, golds, bright reds, cranberry reds…well, it takes your breath away.

Thanks for sharing the beauty of nature with us! xo
