    • Hi Walter!

Hug that precious little boy of yours and your wife! What a smile bringing list! Thanks for sharing it…and good on the cat for keeping the mice away ;-)

  1. My daughter Carrie, crisp cool windy October days, home made apple pie, spinning class, my mastermind group, my cat Louie (but not when he wakes me up in the middle of the night), Italian food, my friends, lipstick, my new car and that new car smell, too many to list Peggy!

    Maureen

    • Good morning Maureen!

I love your mastermind group, too (oh…wait…I’m IN it!) I think we’re in for a few cool, crisp Octobery days this weekend! Great list – thanks for sharing it!

  2. Yea! I like your list…I’m really liking that banana bread…I’ve never tried it with chocolate chips…

Also, I sent out an email to the bufftoberites…you are one of the “exempt” – just, so you know…it will probably make more sense after the email :)

    • Jessica! Add the dark chocolate chips – I made two loaves of my banana bread and GONE. Poof. Disappeared into the bellies of HAPPY people.

And thanks for the exemption ;-)

  3. Wow, thanks Peggy! I’m honored to have made your list!

I don’t know if I ever mentioned it in a comment, but I used to kickbox too. About 12 years ago, I joined a dojo where the Sansai also ran kickboxing classes. I went 5 times a week for almost a year. He would work me out so hard I would sometimes throw up during class. I would spar black belt’s who didn’t much like a girl training with them. Sometimes I would step in the ring and know that I would be hitting the mat more than I would be standing for the next three minutes. And despite all this, I loved it. It built my confidence in a way that nothing before or since ever has.

Like you, during this time I also practiced yoga about three times a week. I was truly in the best shape of my life. I don’t know if I’ll ever kickbox again, but I hope to get back to my yoga practice as soon as my life settles down.

    • Hi Carolyn!

I said the same thing about Tae-kwon-do. Got knocked down to the mat more times than I’d like to remember and knocked out cold twice. And then I found Thai Kickboxing. I go toe-to-toe with a bag, not with a partner. I don’t like being knocked out cold. If I keep advancing, I eventually have to spare a real live person, but in my dojo, we have a LOT of women.

Yoga is always there…make time for you on your mat. Your mind, body, and soul will thank you! (and so will everyone around you!!)

  4. Sleeping with the window open on cold night
    Burrowing under the blanket
Tucking in my 15yr old daughter at bedtime
That my 15yr old still lets me tuck her in
    Watching a sleeping child
    Belly Laughs
    Hugging
    Smiling
Peggy Nolan’s wonderful stories that seep warmth throughout

Thank you Peggy for listing me. It is very much an honor. I love your soul!

  5. Wow–how precious to be included in your list!
    Some of my favorite things:
My children’s laughter…contagious and pure joy
hot chocolate with hazelnut and whipped cream in a great mug
the sunset at my comfort beach
sleeping in the v-berth with the hatch open
comfort and joy in the presence of my favorite people
the feeling I get after trying something new and different
running on my comfort beach and knowing all is right and well
words of wisdom, an inspirational story
guitar riff played loud and well or soft and moving
    very good chocolate
    an excellent book

    • I am so glad someone added CHOCOLATE! How could I have missed that one necessary ingredient for the elixir of life!!

      xxoo

  6. Hi Peggy,

I am so sorry I am late to this post. These last few days were really busy due to a deadline I had on a side project that I have been working on. But I am here now!

Please know that I am so honored to be included and know that I feel the same. One of the best things about blogging is meeting such wonderful souls such as yourself. You rock! :)
