Your Moment of Bliss

Richard and I vacation every year in Ft Myers, Florida.  We usually go in March.  After a long winter, the warmth of the sandy shores of Florida’s west coast is so very needed!

This past March, Richard and I toured the Edison House.  There are a number of Palm Tree varities on the property…I think these are the Relaxing kind…

Palm Trees

“I know this world is ruled by infinite intelligence. Everything that surrounds us- everything that exists – proves that there are infinite laws behind it. There can be no denying this fact. It is mathematical in its precision. “

~ Thomas Edison

  1. Hi Peggy,

Palm trees are one of my favorites so I loved this pic. I also loved the quote because it is so true. There is an infinite intellgence that is constantly at work. Sometimes we are in tune with it and other times we cannot see it but it is always there and that to me is so comforting.

    • Hi Nadia,

As I look at the nearly bare trees in my neighborhood and the first frost the other day…I’m already looking forward to the palm trees and the beach in March!

    • Hi Sandy!

Thanks for stopping by today. I agree – the Infinite Divine does take care of everything…and if we stop long enough, we see how the Divine works.

  2. Hi Peggy!
Ahhh, palm trees! Just what one needs after a long winter of snow and cold. I can only imagine how you embrace that! We are planning our first winter getaway in years – going to Turks & Caicos, but not til April. However, we’ll think about it as we shovel out this winter!

The quote from Edison – as Nadia said – so true!!!!! I find an odd sort of comfort with believing in that – like when the world seems so nuts to me, there is something going on that may be way above my level of understanding. It helps me to relax and think everything is just how it is supposed to be………it is what it is……….let go, let God kind of feeling.

  3. Such a great photo of “relaxing trees”! My husband and I are currently in florida for a conference and the palms are horizontal, not because they are relaxing but because of Hurricane Ida. We thought we would stay two extra days and get some sun. Well, as GB Shaw said, Man plans, God laughs! Hope you are luckier when you get to FT. Myers again!
I loved the Edison house last time we were there…probably about 15 years ago. He is very inspiring! And that banyan tree in front that covers acres….that is TRULY inspiring! Thanks for this post, Peggy! xodiantha

    • Hi Diantha! I LOVE the banyan tree at the Edison House and believe it or not, the kumquat plants! I have a few photos of those, too.

Sorry to hear that your extra two days got washed out by Ida…

      xo
