That is a cool picture. I love outdoor cafes especially the ones in Europe. There is something about an outdoor cafe in a city that is thousands of years old. The aura is just awesome.
Hi Peggy .. I’ve never been to Venice and must do so before it sinks .. though it floats I gather – so probably alright for a few more years .. and this setting is just what I imagine .. a peaceful tranquil scene on the bywaters of the canals .. gosh – proper Italian meal .. delicioza .. = wonderful picture ..
Oh Venice, never visiting it is one regret I have.
I so wanted to go for nature in my holidays that I never could get myself to go to Venice but I certainly drool over Venetian pictures.
Oh Peggy, I am with Henry and Tess, yum yum for my eyes.
You didn’t miss out on my 200th because you’re here now And that’s all that matters to me!
Hi Nadia!
I love the outdoor cafe’s, too! The one in the picture is Al Ponte’s – I can almost remember how to get there from the B&B we stayed at. The food was amazing!
Hi SuZen!
I have a 5×7 of this one matted and framed – hanging in my kitchen
Hi Hilary!
If you get the chance, Venice is a most awesome city to visit. This was my second time ~ and it was so much better than the first!
Hi Wilma,
I’ll be sure to post some more pictures I have from Venice – I took so many!!
Hi Angelia!
Gracie! Richard and I have plans to go back to Italy in the next five years…we want to spend time in Rome, the Almafi coast and Sicily.
Hi Joy!
Even I want to jump into the picture again…when I took the shot, I just leaned back in my chair…Richard was just off to my right and I had him lean back, too. It was one of those perfect still moments…
What a great photo. I just love places/outdoor cafe’s like that. We don’t have a lot like that in Boston (if at all). Thanks for sharing. It is magical!
Gosh – you’re right! There’s not too many places in Boston that have the outdoor cafe atmoshpere – but I think some places in the North End do. Tia’s has the outdoor bar in the summer and Long Wharf is pretty cool, too. But nothing quite like the outdoor cafes in Venice
Peggy,
Like we say to Henri, my one year old grandson, “yum-yum.” Oh and happy 200th post. I missed out:(

Hi Peggy! I can only imagine how romantic that had to be! Hope you blew up that photo – it’s a wonderful scene.
