Thursday & Friday Love Stories

Two in one day, right? Well…there’s only about an hour left for Thursday. I’ve been busy drinking wine and putting together a video surprise for Rick. With the help of photographer extraordinaire, Jaime Parker, owner of Fotique. And yes, I promise to post the link to the surprise AFTER Rick sees it first.

Longest Way Round is the Shortest Way Home

One of the best love stories I have is my family. We’re like a box of cereal…a bunch of fruits, nuts, and flakes. I lean towards the flaky branch myself.

That’s me and my three younger brothers in 1971 or so. We’re dressed for the Luau…and yes, we were in Hawaii, staying with my grandparents for the summer.

This is the remixed version of my family in 1972…maybe 1973. My brother Michael appears to be cut out of the picture…my dad married my (step)mom and I acquired another younger brother (dad is holding him) and two older sisters. I was nine. By the time I was 12, mom adopted me and my brothers. Dad adopted my youngest brother.

This is me in 1980. I was eating birthday cake in Rick’s bedroom. It was my 17th birthday. Rick took this picture of me…and kept it.

This is Rick…in 1981. His senior picture. He’d already broken up with me. Oh well…

Fast forward 25 years to 2006

Together again…September 22, 2006

Merry Christmas! May your day be filled with family, friends, and an abundance of love…and egg nog!

  1. Peggy,
So much joy in all that you’ve shared..so much to celebrate! I look at the photos and think of how Love triumphed, blessed, magnified..and I know your video treat will be most amazing. Blessings to you and your beauty filled family!

  2. Peggy, you consistently give me hope for that one great romance that’s just begging me to open up to it — to allow it into my life.
For now, though, I’m learning to have a love affair with myself!

Merry Christmas, and thank you for all you do and everything you are.

    • Dearest Megan,

As you know, I had gotten to the point where I was happy being the “crazy dog lady down the street. ” I really believe that the Universe connected me and Rick when we had both reached the conclusion that we had to become the love we wanted in our lives. I know your great love story is out there…but the first few chapters are all about you :-)

      Merry Christmas!
      xo
      Peggy
