It was a beautiful summer day in early July. I was in Grand Isle, Vermont, helping my cousins prepare for my Aunt Cal’s 80th birthday. Carolyn Brown, my Aunt’s best friend, graciously opened her home and her spacious back yard to us. I have been here many times and every time I tell myself, “must photograph the barn.” Invariably, I always forget. Except this time, I did not. I love this barn.

Hi Peggy .. I absolutely agree – love your photos .. no wonder you were pleased to get back and actually record the place. Happy memories .. cheers Hilary
Thanks Hilary! It was such a great day!
Gorgeous, this place echos the sounds of the past. You did a great service to share such a rich backdrop of history. Love!
Thanks Angelia!! The old barn did a great job posing, too!
Hi Peggy! Oh that old barn is positvely AWEsome! Not bad photography either, haha! I have such a fascination with old barns and old abandoned houses. The stories they could tell!!! I feel the same way about ginormous old trees. I’m up at the lake house now and we have Elder Tree on our property – I am in awe of it, the size, the age, the history! Thanks for sharing those pictures!

Thanks Susan! I grew up in a very old house – and that sparked my own fascination with old buildings. The old barns in New England are some of the best…and there’s one I pass every day on my commute…it’s just begging me to take its picture!
Peggy
You do well with Poetry and Photos. I enjoy and looking forward for more.
